| No, I haven't completely vanished from the face of the Earth ... even though it's been 4 months since I've posted anything here
One day (soon, I hope) I'll write a long post to fill you in on some of the details ... suffice it to say, between work, and my singing, I've been very busy. I did, however, find time to go on vacation in Mexico (before the flu outbreak). With summer approaching, I should be able to find more time to visit here.

| His name is Capricorn ... he's about 40 years old, and very playful. This is, by far, my favorite picture from my whole vacation! | |

Got back this afternoon ... trying to catch up on my e-mail/messages. Will post pics and a recap of my vacation soon. BTW, I had a blast!

|
| So, tlin_s, your LiveJournal reveals...

You are... 11% unique (blame, for example, your interest in uhura/rand) and 5% herdlike (partly because you, like everyone else, enjoy slash). When it comes to friends you are normal. In terms of the way you relate to people, you are wary of trusting strangers. Your writing style (based on a recent public entry) is simplistic.
Your overall weirdness is: 66(The average level of weirdness is: 28. You are weirder than 93% of other LJers.)
Find out what your weirdness level is! Well, I suppose I agree with this, except for the judgment of my writing style -- although, since the only recent entries I've made have been meme's, I guess this isn't a true sample of my writing to work from.

| Well, I should have posted this Saturday night ... or even yesterday, but I was too lazy. Saturday was, as we all know, the first day of summer ... and I spent it on a whale watching trip out of Plymouth Harbor. It was a perfect day ... even though we did not see many whales (only 4 ... two mothers with their calves). I was able to get a couple of nice pictures, however. And this one is of Bug Light, which sits in the middle of Plymouth Harbor, taken as we came back in, as the sun was starting to set. And then ... to end this perfect day ... my comp copy of "Denny Crane 2" was waiting for me when I got home!!!!! (which is part of the reason I didn't get around to posting this until now ... I've been reading!) | |

| OK ... this week, we started "summer hours" at work (M-Th 5:45AM - 3PM; F 5:45AM - 9:45AM). In theory, I like the idea, although with the price of gas around here, I'd prefer it if we had gone to 4 10-hour days, and had Friday off completely. After all, I drive 66 miles a day (round trip). But being home from work by 10:30 or so on a Friday isn't half bad ... except for today, as it is rainy and cold. Things I could do today, if I really felt motivated: 1) clean house 2) finish pulling out the summer clothes, as they are predicting temperatures to reach the 90's this weekend 3) put away all the winter clothes even though I'm not convinced I won't still need some of them
4) laundry DONE, FOLDED AND PUT AWAY 5) finish working on a couple of suggestions I have for work (we are required to make at least 2 suggestions every 6 months at work -- something that will 'improve' our jobs, or our working environment -- each month, the person with the best implemented suggestion wins $100)
6) update a brochure for a course a friend of mine teaches DONE 7) work on one of my WIP's that have not been touched in nearly/over a year Hmmm ... as I read over this list, I ponder what I'll end up doing with my time, and know that I'll definitely do #6 (after all, my friend needs the brochure by Tuesday, and he's paying me for my time) but the rest ... who knows
To be honest ... I had hoped that I would be spending the day with a co-worker ... but the crappy weather put a damper on our tentative plans (pun intended)
EDIT 1:35pm:
The weather has improved a bit ... it is no longer raining.
EDIT 3:30:
Still no sun, but it's getting warmer. Read through a few WIP's ... can't decide which one to try and work on. While reading, I was reminded of a few BL stories I had submitted (well over a year ago) to agentwithstyle for "Denny Crane 2", so I went to the web page to contact them and see if that zine was every going to be published ... and discovered that it was already out! Apparently, it was ready for MediaWestCon. Now I wonder if I'll be getting a comp issue, like I did for DC1 or not ... since there were only 3 of us who submitted stories, I would assume that we would.

| A scam to beware of !! Police say that the gang usually is comprised of four members, one adult and three younger ones. While the three younger ones, all appearing sweet and innocent, divert their 'mark' (or intended target) with a show of friendliness, the fourth -- the eldest -- sneaks in from behind the person's back to expertly rifle through his or her pocket or purse for any valuables. Be on the alert!! ( click here to see a photo from a recent attack that was captured on film ) | |

| snagged from qzeeAnd 2 in the town that I live in ... even with the same middle initial. How bazzaar is that?! (and no, we're not related)
Seems like all I've been posting here lately are meme's that I've snagged from others' journals ... one of these days, I need to post about what's been going on with me besides work, which is going great, but draining all of my energy, preventing me from being at all 'creative' when I get home. I miss my 'late night writing spirts'

| My Personality | | Neuroticism | | Extraversion | | Openness to Experience | | Agreeableness | | Conscientiousness | |
| You are poised, confident, and clear-thinking when stressed, however you are sensitive about what others think of you. Your concern about rejection and ridicule cause you to feel shy and uncomfortable around others. You are easily embarrassed and often feel ashamed. Your fears that others will criticize or make fun of you are exaggerated and unrealistic, but your awkwardness and discomfort may make these fears a self-fulfilling prophecy. You are an active group participant but usually prefer to let someone else be the group leader. You tend not to express your emotions openly and are sometimes not even aware of your own feelings. You dislike confrontations and are perfectly willing to compromise or to deny your own needs in order to get along with others, however you are not affected strongly by human suffering, priding yourself on making objective judgments based on reason. You are more concerned with truth and impartial justice than with mercy. You are not an overly cautious person. You will think about alternatives and consequences but make up your mind fairly quickly.

| Snagged from syredronning I post these results with one small disclaimer -- the speakers on my computer suck ... so in order to hear anything, I have to plug in headphones, which, of course, block out all outside sound (I doubt if I actually had this as my ringtone, I'd ever hear it) You are a dog | Or maybe you are a mosquito, you certainly can't be human. The highest pitched ultrasonic mosquito ringtone that I can hear is 21.1kHz | | Find out which ultrasonic ringtones you can hear! |
